The north american brand Delphi belongs to the Delphi Automotive Systems, with headquarters in Troy (Michigan, USA), the largest and most diversified global provider of transportation technologies, mobile electronics and world leader in providing technology for automobile original equipment. The company employs approximately 185,000 people, operates in 171 own factories (61 in Europe), 42 joint ventures, 53 customer centers and sales offices (has regional headquarters in Paris, Tokyo and São Paulo), and 33 technical centers in 41 countries.
Delphi serves the market for replacement parts since the early twentieth century and is today one of the world's five largest suppliers of parts for the aftermarket. The facilities in central Europe of the European aftermarket for Delphi (Delphi Product & Service Solutions) are situated in Cergy Pontoise, 30 km northwest of Paris. The headquarters of Delphi's aftermarket operations in Portugal and Spain, is located in Madrid, supporting all operations, including logistics, sales administration and technical services for the region.
The Deplhi produces a comprehensive range of products for the aftermarket - including air conditioning systems, engine starters and alternators remanufactured, security systems, batteries, shock absorbers, steering and suspension, filtration, lubrication, braking products (friction, hydraulic, drum kits, brake fluid), clutch products, and a diesel product portfolio - which includes sprinklers, pumps, glow plugs, filters, test benches and opacimeters, among other pieces of reparation under the brand Delphi Diesel.
The strategy of the company converted the aftermarket brands Delphi Diavia, Delphi Freedom, Delphi Lockheed, Delphi Borg & Beck and Delphi Grundig, in a unique global designation: Delphi.
In the future, Delphi will focus on electronica, electronic products and improved electronic services.
