Denso is brand of japanese origin, belonging to Denso Corporation, a leading worldwide manufacturer of automobiles parts and other motor vehicles, providing the main vehicle manufacturers and the independently replacement market. With 67 plants in 22 countries and employs approximately 106,000 people in 32 countries and regions, including Japan. Consolidated global sales in 2006 totaled 27.3 billion dollars.
A wide range of products, consisting of: heating and air conditioning systems for vehicles and trains. Electric control elements and electronic (including sparks), fuel management systems, radiators, gauges, filters, wiper blades, telecommunications systems and other products not intended for the automobile.
In order to comply more effectively the needs of its customers and the international marketplace, Denso, with global headquarters in Kariya - Aichi in Japan, and listed on stock exchanges in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, created subsidiaries in 25 countries and in Japan.
The Denso Europe B.V., a subsidiary of Denso located in the Netherlands and its european headquarters, was founded in 1973 and currently has over 180 employees.
The Nippondenso, which has changed its name on the first of October 1996, to Denso Corporation, founded in 1949, from the separation of Toyota Motor Co., Ltd.. The reasons for change of name was, among other things, the fact that the denomination's former company Nippondenso (meaning Japanese electronic parts) have failed to cover the areas of activity of the current company that operates in Europe, USA and Asia. In 1953, initiated a technical cooperation with the German company Robert Bosch GmbH.
